TWATRAVE is an artist collective created by two cartoonists from CNY who set out to do bigger things in their artistic journey.
Formed on 3/3/26, TWATRAVE is committed to creating a space that gives community to artists who want to make a difference while freely expressing themselves.
Through this community, we will collaborate on, share, and support the artistic works of other members.
TWATRAVE will also act as mutual aid to support each other in both artistic or personal matters.
Donating art supplies to other members is an example of artistic aid, while personal aid involves matters outside of art.
While we are currently in our earliest stages, our members have projects planned for the future.
We're not currently accepting new members. But if you are interested in joining, shoot us an e-mail and we'll go from there.
We believe artists should stand strong and create works that challenge the societal restraints put upon us by reactionaries, conservatives, and authoritarian governments. We believe artists should be allowed to make art that goes outside of the box without the fear of censorship or persecution. We believe in free expression and the liberation of all from the oppressive systems around us. We believe in creating works that explore all aspects of our world, even if that perspective is atypical and controversial.
TWATRAVE members hold these principles:
